About Lyenne Losiabaar

I believe that you are prepared for your future in life, whether you are aware of it or not. My passion for media, journalism, and law started when I was younger. When I look back to my childhood, I would memorize newspaper articles and stand in front of the mirror pretending that I was a news anchor. My family noticed my love for the news and, when I was a bit older, they signed me up for media and communication courses at an organization named “Bos di Hubentud” which literally translates to “The Voice of the Youth.”

As a teen, I had to think about what I wanted my future profession to be, and I decided that upon finishing High School, I would immediately enter a school that would allow me to work specifically towards a career related to my passion. At that time, I knew that I wanted to enter the legal field; however, I was already working in the media field in my free time. When I finished my Legal Assistant degree, I still wanted to pursue a degree more related to communication, so I decided to study Public Relations. Apart from my studies, I also participated in public speaking courses and I continued to work on my growth in the Curaçao media. When I started working at the Curaçao Social Housing Organization, I had the opportunity to study Bachelor’s in Business Administration, which allowed me to thoroughly expand my knowledge in business.

All of these studies and experiences have provided me the opportunity to apply all of my knowledge, ability and passion in the creation of my business, Empire Real Estate. In my humble opinion, communication is an extremely important skill. I truly believe that being polite to others fosters a sense of respect in those young and old. Now, I can proudly say that communication is one of my strongest skills. Good service always begins with proper communication. I am now able to use my strong communication and marketing skills in my business that I believe will raise the quality of service in Curaçao.
